Portable lighting gives you more placement options, but charging and runtime deserve a closer look.
Read runtime in context
Battery runtime depends on the brightness setting and other operating conditions. A maximum claim may refer to the lowest setting. Compare claims only when the conditions are stated, and never infer runtime from battery capacity alone.
Check how it charges
Confirm the connector, required power supply, and whether a cable or adapter is included. A USB charging port is not the same as a USB output for charging another device. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
Choose the setting carefully
Cordless does not mean waterproof or suitable for outdoor use. For bathrooms, patios, or wet areas, check the exact model’s rating and permitted use. A product name alone is not evidence.
Plan a charging routine
Consider where the lamp will return to charge and whether the controls are comfortable to use. Check the manufacturer’s battery service and replacement information.
